 Introduction
Qinghe WWTP is located in Beijing, originally using the traditional wastewater treatment method with capacity 400,000m3/d, and the produced water was discharged. With economic developing and population growing, water shortage is becoming a problem day by day.
MOTIMO won the bid over Siemens, GE, Asahi and other companies, cooperated with Qinghe WWTP to deeply purify the secondary treated wastewater with CMF process in 2009. The average capacity of the project is 140,000 m3/d, while the largest capacity is 200,000 m3/d, and the produced water will be reused in the city. The project is under construction now, and will be finished in 2012.

 Membrane Information
MOTIMO UOF-4 membrane modules (material PVDF, effective membrane area 40m2, pore size 0.03μm) were used in the CMF system, which is composed of 40 skids CMF-98, with 98 membrane modules each skid and totally 3920 membrane modules. Each skid runs independently producing constant flow of water.

 

 Process

 

The CMF process consists of membrane filtration, backwash, pumping, air scrubbing and cleaning. And in the workshop, there is blower house, chemical house, storage house, controlling house, and so on.
After the CMF process, the dirty water is well treated.

The dimension of membrane house is L×W=40m×40m.

 Conclusion
This will be the largest  wastewater reuse project in China using CMF process, and it will greatly improve the local water shortage situation.
